Short About Us
The origins of the Order of Digital Knights, commonly known as DKZ, can be traced back to July 1994 when Ninex and Zamice, along with Kasper, came together to establish the organization. Initially, it started as a modest collection of hacker and web tools hosted on a free Angelfire webpage. However, it quickly evolved into a thriving community of like-minded individuals. While it originally catered to members of groups like 666 and the Cult of the Dead Cow, the community expanded, leading to a shift in its focus.
By 1999, the DKZ had grown exponentially, attracting over 3,500 members from various parts of the globe and securing the domain name digital-knightz.com. As the organization expanded its reach, it transitioned from being solely a blackhat hacker site to a more inclusive and netizen-friendly gaming community.
The Order’s mission became centered around advocating for a free and unrestricted internet, fighting against internet abuse, and promoting self-regulation on the web through lawful means and collective action, effectively forming a united digital army. In the mid-2000s, under the leadership of Ninex and Pixel, who took over from the founders, the DKZ entered a new phase in its history.
They began alpha and beta testing games and transformed the DKZ into one of the most esteemed MMORPG gaming clans. The domain was updated to www.digitalknightz.com, further solidifying the Order’s position in the gaming community. In 2005, Ninex faced personal challenges and stepped down from leadership, leaving a void that Pixel filled. However, in the summer of 2008, Ninex returned, rejoining forces with Pixel to script a new chapter in the illustrious history of the internet’s oldest and most distinguished gaming clan. With its rich history and unwavering commitment to a free and unregulated internet, the Order of Digital Knightz remains an enduring pillar of the gaming community to this day.
